Welcome to Climbing with Bob
Climbing with Bob recounts the climbing experiences of two guys from Cheyenne, Wyoming and includes adventures ranging from Colorado day climbs to multi week expeditions to far off venues like Peru and Bolivia. We've experienced the gringo climbing circuit in Peru, the poorly mapped Apolobamba Range and Colorado's 14'ers. But its not just talk . . . I've included photos to accompany the text as well as maps and links to other pages that provide additional reading. Climbing with Bob is climbing as we experience it. It is not a guide to provide route descriptions but, instead a travelogue that tells the whole story of each climb, from the planning of a Bolivian expedition to the apparent importance of eating at the same Mexican restaurant before any winter climb in Rocky Mountain National Park. We tell it all . . . dumb mistakes, winter death marches, and victory cries on Andean summits that have not seen climber's footprints in years. I think there is something here for anyone interested in mountaineering . . . fellow alpinists, armchair mountaineers and our family and friends who may be curious about just where our passports take us every July.
