The Peaks and an Ongoing List . . .
The Colorado section of the site includes climbs for all the state’s peaks over 14,000 feet (14’ers), repeats by other routes, an increasing number of Centennial (Colorado's top 100 peaks) and some lower elevation climbs. The reports are cataloged geographically by range. Climbs over the past 5 years generally include photos, sometimes photos later taken during repeats or during other climbs in the vicinity. The Colorado portion of the site was originally written in chronological order. However after completing the 14’ers, the continuing volume of new climbs began to make sorting through the climbs an arduous process. So I’ve resorted to geography but with one downfall. The narratives may now appear a bit disjointed with regard to the experience of the writer at the time of the climb. Almost thirty years is a long time and one learns a great deal about climbing over such a stretch. So, bear in mind you are looking at segments along a continuum of climber development in which I have intentionally retained mention of the neophyte blunders and journeyman errors to illustrate the learning experience. Many folks, myself included, keep a running list of the peaks as climbed. Below is my list of Centennial climbs, running from the first summit in 1983 to the most recent.
