While I've never thought that "Climbing with Bob" would be a site folks stampede to read, I find its visitation statistics to be fascinating. Here are a few facts about the site as of the end of June 2009.

How many people visit the site?

The site averages 7,800 page views per month with peak months rising to as many as 9000 views. Since its August 2006 rebuild, the site has had almost 250,000 page views. Not a lot in comparison to many sites but perhaps not bad for a personal site.

What do you look at?

More than half of the pages on the site are viewed at least one time per day, however the most popular pages are the Home page, the Australia page, and I'm pleased to say . . . the Legal Disclaimer. As an attorney, the attention you pay to the Disclaimer warms my heart . . . or maybe you just like that picture of my bruised arm.

Where are you from?

The map above illustrates the distribution of visits by country; however for the statistically curious, U.S. visits generally account for 72% -74% of the total site visitation; however, once every other month or so, a new country will pop up, most recently Swaziland, 131 countries to date. From the start of the site, the #2 ranked country is Canada (5.1%), Sweden is #3 (3.1%), #4 is Australia (2.8%), and the United Kingdom closes out the top at #5 (2.4%). However, for the year to date, China is #2 (5.1%), followed by #3 Canada (4.1%), Sweden in the 4th spot (3.3%) and Australia rounding out the top 5 (2.9%).
