What's new on Climbing with Bob?Uploads:Most recent upload and revision - May 1, 2008. New Stuff:I've also added four pages, one for Wyoming's Medicine Bow Peak, including a little bit of summer climbing, a winter ascent, and multiple snow climbs. This page was part of the old Climbing with Bob site and now is back with the most recent menu modification; A page for my an April solo climb of Grizzly Peak from Loveland Pass. The mountains were packed with fresh snow and it was a bluebird day for climbing; Another April climb, this time James Peak on the southern end of the Indian Peaks portion of the Front Range. The temps were up, the wind was absent and it was another bluebird day, this time for an alpine ski; A final April climb, Drift Peak in Colorado's Mosquito Range, near Fremont Pass. A cold but clear day, a touch of wind, and a great ridge climb to the summit and a ski back to the truck from the lower reaches of the climb. In the Works:Spring is in the works and the Colorado Rockies are packed with snow. The snow is settling and the snow climbing and Spring ski season will soon be fully upon us. We are planning a week in the Cascades with Mt. Rainier as the primary climbing objective. The Rainier permits are in hand and the airline tickets have been purchased. I expect we will also try Mts. Baker, Adams and/or Hood, the final list likely being more a case of weather than planning. I'm contemplating a week in the San Juans in August to take a shot at the Grenadier Range, Arrow, Vestal, and the Trinity Peaks would be the targeted climbs.
