Climbing with Bob Banner Photo

Contact Me

You may contact me . . . but there are some ground rules . . .

Bad links:

If I have a bad link or photos that don't come up, please let me know and I will fix them. The site is big enough that I don't find the bad links unless I happen onto a page and the photos are not there. I just fixed the bum photos for the Mt. Alice page and they have been bad for about 18 months. Remember, this site is a bit like a resume . . . I've polished it for days on end and know the content to the point that I am not likely to catch every glitch.

Information Requests:

First, you have to go read my Disclaimer. I'm a practicing atorney so I make a living dealing with jurisdiction, litigation, and liability, therefore you and I need to understand where we stand with regard the disclaimer.

Second, if you want to ask me about a trade route on a Colorado 14'er, please don't as I simply will not respond. I'm not trying to be a jerk but the Roach and Dawson guidebooks are just plain outstanding and they provide any information you might want. If those books don't meet your need, then join a forum such as 14'erWorld or check out the wealth of information available at Summitpost. 14erWorld has lots of users willing to swap trade route information. 14erWorld is a great resource . . . a friendly bunch and new climbers don't get abused. You might meet some folks to climb with so give it a try.

Third, if you have a less traveled route in mind, perhaps south of the Equator. Getting climbing and logistics information for the remote parts of the Andes gets more difficult with every step you take off the gringo climbing circuit. We've left the trade routes behind, due in some part to a few kind folks who were willing to relate their experiences. I'll "pay forward" the climbers who helped us out and share what I know with those who have similar interests. I do; however, reserve the right to cull out messages from folks who are obviously out of their league or just plain out of their minds.

The Address:

All that said, address email as follows - chode at climbing with bob dot com. You know the drill, substitute the "a with the circle" symbol for the at, run all the words together, and put a period where I have the "dot".
